Morning Prayer is a 1979 DeFever 43 Trawler with a long list of upgrades since 2020, recently completed the Great Loop, a veteran of cruising the East Coast and Bahamas, and currently in Hollywood, Florida for the Winter. Her knowledgeable owner has selected the best marine technicians for all of his upgrade projects and the professional installations, such as the Solar Panels, Solar MPPT Controllers, Lithium Battery Bank, 110V Battery Chargers, Renogy 2000W Inverter/Charger, and back-up start-battery option are well-thought out and comprised of industry-leading components and technology.
This 43 DeFever Trawler 1979, Hull #31, is powered by highly desirable and efficient Twin Ford Lehman 120hp Naturally-Aspirated engines and an 8kW Northern Lights Generator capable of running all onboard Electrical Systems when underway or anchored out. In addition to her spacious varnished teak interior, Morning Prayer features a Two Stateroom, Two Head layout, a walk-in Engine Room with a Central Sea-Chest, into which all raw-water intakes source their water; thereby eliminating the need for problematic through-hulls with up to 12 sea-cocks scattered throughout the hull of most vessels this size. And of course, this vessel stands out from most other 40-45ft. Trawlers with the famous Arthur DeFever profile with her high freeboard and sheer, designed to be stable and dry in rough sea conditions during offshore passage-making.
Her large aft deck Bimini provides shade from the Sun and will be your favorite place to lounge at Happy Hour and watch the Sunset and also includes a Clothes Washer with a custom protective cover. Of course the Salon features lounge seating and the Lower Helm with Classic Wooden-spoked Steering Wheel. The Flybridge features a new instrument panel and Engine Gauges, a new protective cover, new Bimini, and a new Aluminum Arch, ready for the new owner to install Radar and antennas of your choice

If you are looking for a Turn-Key 43ft. Trawler with lots of upgrades for under $80,000, look no further. Morning Prayer has had the best of mechanical preventive care in the last 5 years in use as a liveaboard cruiser. She still has a few projects and upgrades that need to be completed such as refurbishing of several areas of Teak Parquet flooring in the Master Stateroom, some additional electronics such as a MFD Chart plotter with Radar since the current owner uses his IPAD with chart plotting software. Some varnished teak woodwork around door frames and high wear areas could use a fresh coat of varnish, but there are no unsightly cabinetry stains or rot, so these minor cosmetic efforts will result in a vessel that looks as good as she runs. The Seller has a Boston Whaler Tender with an outboard that is not included with the sale of the vessel but available separately for sale.
Call today with any questions you may have and to schedule a personal inspection. This 1979 DeFever 43ft. Trawler has recently completed her SnowBird cruise to FL, after spending the Summer in the Chesapeake. I look forward to introducing you to Morning Prayer.
